Hot Bacon Dressing Recipe
This warm dressing immerses crunchy bacon bits in a sweet, thickened vinaigrette for an old-time taste treat!
Serve up good fortune with a delicious spinach salad with black-eyed peas and a hot bacon dressing!
Here is something a little different for a salad. A friend gave me this years ago. Hope you like it.
Frisee lettuce has a slightly bitter taste but when tossed with a sweet and tangy, warm bacon dressing, it's simply delicious!
Terrific! Better than Marie Callender's hot bacon dressing! I know it's super sugary and fatty but you don't need much dressing to make your salad extra special. My family relished every bite. Additional note: I've made this again and again. It tastes different--even better--using cider vinegar, rice vinegar or balsamic. All good. And it is just fabulous tossed with cooked, halved brussels sprouts! (Cut in half and steam or boil in water until cooked.)My husband used to hate brussel sprouts, but now he loves them! Oh and yes, cut back on sugar and do add the bacon grease!
Lots of bacon, no peeling or cutting potatoes.
This creative raw Brussels sprouts salad has a great contrast between the raw, crunchy vegetable and the rich, smoky bacon dressing.
I haven't tried this yet, but it's close to what I am looking for. Back home in Pennsylvania the Amish have a recipe called Wilted Lettuce with PA Dutch Bacon Dressing. Its very similar to this recipe, but is served on a bed of lettuce, boiled potatoes and the dressing on top. I am going to try this with a frew variations that I remember and will write back to let everyone know.
