Ham and Pineapple Pinwheels Recipe
This sweet version of a pinwheel made with crushed pineapple, cream cheese, and sliced ham always goes over well at parties.
Pineapple cream cheese and ham pinwheels are always a crowd-pleaser and a quick and easy lunch or appetizer.
The whipped pineapple cream cheese was not available at our local grocery. I substituted regular whipped cream cheese mixed with the well-drained crushed pineapple. I used Virginia ham and refrigerated the tortilla rolls overnight before slicing them. I took them to BUNCO night where they were a big hit.
Italian standbys--like fresh basil and sun-dried tomatoes--roll up here with ham, cheese and red-leaf lettuce. You simply refrigerate and slice when ready to serve.
